Heartbreak for Leah

Leah Patterson will be facing fresh turmoil later this month as she discovers the heartbreaking truth that her husband Zac cheated on her with his editor Sam. Leah made it pretty clear to Zac that she didn't trust Sam. However, recent scenes that have aired in Australia but are yet to air in the UK have seen Zac leave Summer Bay, telling his wife it is something for his job. Leah was heartbroken when he left so we can't even imagine how upset she will be when she discovers the devastating truth. The couple had a rough year in 2016 as their marriage ran into trouble but this escalated when Zac was spending time with Sam. Zac's conscience will finally get the better off him soon and he decided to tell the truth, however, his honesty will have big repercussions as she makes it clear that she will be unable to forgive him... When the shock sinks in, Leah will confide in her friend Irene and she angrily confronts her husband, telling him to go and be with Sam instead! Zac isn't giving up on his wife and desperately tries to persuade her that they can get through this. She is in for another shock when she realises that Matt Page knew the truth but didn't tell her. Is there any hope for Leah and Zac? Or is their marriage broken beyond repair?

Home and away has been doing a storyline since February about who should get custody of Luc Ashford, following the tragic demise of Billie Ashford. Three people went for custody: VJ Patterson, who was Billie's husband, who Billie wanted to have custody of Luc. Billie's brother Ash and Irene Roberts. Last month, VJ shook Luc's cot and threw a mug across the room because he was very stressed. Can VJ save John from jail?

Monday night's episode will see John Palmer face court after starting the bushfire last December that led to the death of Billie Ashford. John was under the influence of a brain tumour and had no recollection of what he was doing, the tumour was successfully removed. Last month, we saw the return of Morag Bellingham, returning in the bay to defend John in court in the hope to spare him a jail sentence. He was previously urged to plead guilty and serve only two years or take the risk at the chance that he could be spared jail or go to jail for ten years! He decided to plead not guilty, much to the relief of his wife, Marilyn. However, the trial might not go as smoothly as they had hoped. The trial doesn't go that well at the start when Dr Bernice Chung takes the stand and protests that John fits the profile of a serial arsonist and is still a huge threat to the community.
