Kat Chapman discovers the truth about the serial arsonist next week! Australian viewers are currently aware that John Palmer has been lighting fires around the bay, most recently the bushfire that claimed the life of Billie Ashford and left John's wife Marilyn with significant burns. It is most likely that John doesn't know what he is doing after he hit his head on the deck of a boat and left him with a bleed on the brain. John and Marilyn were told that it wasn't serious but back in December, John was suffering worrying symptoms and collapsed. Luckily, Hunter and Olivia saved him. Next week John prepares to light another fire! But Kat somehow catches him out, but can she stop him before he commits arson again? Or will other lives be in danger? One thing is for sure, John collapses and is rushed to hospital, Marilyn desperately hopes that he will pull through and it looks like he does as he was pictured at court facing trial, will he be able to cope with the realisation that he was responsible for Billie's death? Will he light the fire? Or will Kat be able to stop him in time?

Three people went for custody: VJ Patterson, who was Billie's husband, who Billie wanted to have custody of Luc. Billie's brother Ash and Irene Roberts. Can VJ save John from jail?

Monday night's episode will see John Palmer face court after starting the bushfire last December that led to the death of Billie Ashford. John was under the influence of a brain tumour and had no recollection of what he was doing, the tumour was successfully removed. Last month, we saw the return of Morag Bellingham, returning in the bay to defend John in court in the hope to spare him a jail sentence. He was previously urged to plead guilty and serve only two years or take the risk at the chance that he could be spared jail or go to jail for ten years! He decided to plead not guilty, much to the relief of his wife, Marilyn. However, the trial might not go as smoothly as they had hoped. The trial doesn't go that well at the start when Dr Bernice Chung takes the stand and protests that John fits the profile of a serial arsonist and is still a huge threat to the community.
